KHALIYA TOP is a beautiful meadow surrounded by snowy peaks, which offers an awe-inspiring view of the mystical land of Kumaon. Khaliya Top is situated at an altitude of about 3500 meters above sea level. While traveling to Khaliya, you will come across forests of pines, deodar, oaks, spruce and cypress, and most of all, Burash trees blooming with reddish pink flowers, which adorn the entire route. This place is home to various birds and animals. Here you will also find many wild animals, deer, cockerel, monkey, langur etc. Khaliya Top is a very peaceful and favorite place for trekkers. March-June and mid-September-October are the perfect months to go for the Khaliya Top trek.

Khaliya Top is an alpine meadow surrounded by snow-covered peaks, located near Munsiyari in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand. To reach Khaliya Top, one has to cover a trekking distance of 6 km from Balanti bend, which is 9 km from Munsiyari. Munsiyari is well connected by road to nearby cities.
If you are traveling by road from Delhi to Khaliya Top, the distance is approximately 612 km. You can find buses and taxis available from ISBT Anand Vihar in Delhi to both Almora and Pithoragarh. From either Almora or Pithoragarh, you can hire a taxi and take a local cab to reach the base of Khaliya Top.
If you prefer to travel by air to reach Khaliya Top, the nearest airport is Pantnagar Airport, located approximately 302 km away. From Pantnagar Airport, you can easily hire taxis that will take you directly to the base of Khaliya Top.
If you prefer to travel by train to Khaliya Top, the nearest railway station is Kathgodam, situated approximately 272 km away. From Kathgodam railway station, you can easily hire a taxi or opt for a sharing cab to reach Khaliya Top.
